We build the homes we'd want to live in.
Goat Residentials began in 2009 with a simple frustration: too many new homes looked good in a brochure and disappointed in real life. We set out to do the opposite.
Fifteen years of building, and still learning.
What started as a one-man renovation business in Westmere has grown into one of Auckland's most trusted boutique home builders — but the philosophy hasn't changed. We bring design, costing and construction together so that nothing gets lost between the drawing and the doing.
We're deliberately not the biggest builder in town. Staying boutique lets our directors stay hands-on, our trades stay in-house, and our clients stay genuinely looked after — from the first coffee to long after the keys change hands.
Every home we sell carries a 10-year Master Build Guarantee and, more importantly, our name. That's a standard we're proud to be held to.

Four principles we won't compromise on
Craft over speed
We'd rather build fewer homes properly than rush a number out the door. Every joint, junction and finish is detailed to last decades, not seasons.
Honesty as standard
Fixed prices, plain-English contracts and weekly updates. If something changes, you hear it from us first — never on handover day.
Built for Aotearoa
Our homes are designed for New Zealand light, weather and the way we live — warm, dry and efficient, well above the minimum building code.
People, then projects
Most of our work comes from referrals. That only happens when you treat clients, trades and neighbours the way you'd want to be treated.
